Let's just kick this week off with a quote from one of my favorite movies, shall we?

My younger brothers and I quoted that flick entirely too often back in the day. For this week's recipe, I guess I need to chase these nachos with some scotchy scotch.

San Diego Chargers~Carne Asada Nachos

For the Carne Asada, we rubbed 1 pound of flank steak with salt, pepper, chili powder, and garlic powder. Then, after watching SNL, we threw it in the crock pot on low. We added sliced scallion, a few cloves of garlic, some orange juice, and enough beef stock to cover the meat. We let it simmer overnight.

We made our own potato chips. We topped those delicious bites with the following:

ree

Guacamole (2 avocados, mashed, 1 1/2 cup sour cream, salt, 1/2 chopped jalapeno, juice of 1 lime)

ree

Salsa (I quartered some Sun Golds, splashed with olive oil, cilantro, salt and pepper)
